On July 25, 2023, the MPF is pleased to host a talk with Ahmad Abdul-Halim to speak about his recent book “Who owns the Right to the Body? A Reading into the Carceral Life.” The book, which was published in 2022 by the MENA Prison Forum, traces different entanglements between the body and the prison system. It looks at the different means of disciplining the space and time of the prisoners and the resistance mechanisms that attempt to counter the reproduction of incarcerating the bodies.
